Rice Naughton Buckley held an evening cocktail party in May 2010 to celebrate their one year anniversary. The function was held on the Queensland Terrace at the State Library of Queensland and the staff, Directors and their families enjoyed the company of 100 guests including Judges and court staff and colleagues from the legal, financial planning, banking and medical industries.

Principal Anne-Marie Rice commented in her speech that;

“although the life of a family law solicitor isn’t always easy, in the big scheme of things we are lucky to have the opportunity to do what we do and to enjoy the kind of relationships we have with our colleagues, referrers and the judicial officers here tonight.”

Live entertainment was provided by Dan Kelly, a musician well respected in the Australian alternative rock community. Dan quipped that he had “mined his back catalogue for all his songs about family law”.

Special thanks to the State Library of Queensland for providing a superb venue and to musician Dan Kelly for providing the live entertainment.
