Anne Marie Rice

Anne-Marie Rice
Principal

anne-marie@rnblaw.com.au

Anne-Marie Rice has a genuine passion for and commitment to family law. She was admitted over 10 years ago and has practised her entire career in this jurisdiction. She is a QLS accredited Family Law Specialist and a member of both the Independent Children’s Lawyer’s panel and Collaborative Law Qld.

During the 1990s, and whilst a young Associate with one of Queensland’s largest law firms, her commitment to both the challenges of practice and the application of the law saw her invited to address conferences of far more senior practitioners, sharing the speaker’s podium with local and international Judges - a sign of the respect the profession held for Anne-Marie even then, and which has continued and deepened as she has matured in her practice.

Her commitment to provide a service to clients in challenging times is hallmarked by her genuine understanding of interpersonal issues, clear communication and advice, and a focus on practical, cost-effective outcomes.

Those who need the services of a family law firm usually hear Anne-Marie named high on the list as a ‘go to’ lawyer, not merely because of her legal skills, but because of her accessible and sensitive approach to the complex, emotionally difficult issues confronting Australians in this difficult time of life - many of whom are caring parents with very real practical and legal concerns.

Anne-Marie understands that timeliness along with practical, lasting, and cost-effective solutions must be high on the agenda. She is strongly committed to Collaborative Law **

**Collaborative law, a highly successful method of negotiations originally developed in the USA and UK, uses techniques where clients and their lawyers work together to resolve a dispute without going to court. The aim is to reach a fair agreement while minimising costs, delays and stress.
